On October 17, the 3rd "Belt and Road" seminar on green development of coal-coke chemical industry was held in Xiaoyi city, Luliang, Shanxi, jointly organized by Luliang city government and Xinhua news agency China Economic Information Service. Renowned experts, scholars and business representatives from home and abroad gave lectures on the innovation and practice of green development of coal and coke chemical industry and topics such as "Belt and Road" energy cooperation at the seminar. The green transformation of coal and coke chemical industry became hot topics for the guests.

Wu Yin, former deputy director of National Energy Administration and vice chairman of China Energy Research Association, believes that in the international cooperation "Belt and Road", green and low-carbon chemical industry is very important and beneficial to local economic and social development. Enterprises and their export products and goods should pay attention to these aspects. At the seminar, many experts expressed their views on the green development and transformation of the energy industry from different perspectives.

From Germany, CHOREN was invited to participate and make a speaking contribution. The company's technical director Henry Hempel gave a keynote speech titled "Clean Utilization of Coal and Coke Using CHOREN's CCG Process and CHOREN's CCG Coal Gasification Technology". He said Shanxi is a large coal province in China and attaches great importance to coal technological innovation, which requires us to ensure production in a greener and more modern way, be more efficient and meet environmental standards. China's "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" has proposed the concept of energy revolution, which means that China's coal energy revolution is not synonymous with "decarbonization". China's coal is still part of power generation, and its strategic energy goals are toward green development and clean and efficient use in the future.
